Marina Melentieva is a Designer and Set Designer currently based in Berlin, originally from Omsk (Siberia), Russia. Graduated in 2013 from the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts with degrees in Costume Design and Set Design.
 

Marina works to create emotionally engaging scenarios. She believes that there is a strong power in perceiving a picture through the mirror of your own story. That is why she pays much attention to detailed research of cultural backgrounds, traditions and our daily behavior. That along with her curiosity for striving for something unexpected or even humorous is an inalienable part of her working process.
 

Her visual approach is the exploration of traditional and contemporary styles, colour, and material, with a particular focus on a constant reinvention of the idea of space.
 

Her interest is to create a symbiosis of a reminiscent past and an innovative future by working with sustainable means.
